This is a specially written book of 50 tunes which have all been specially adapted for students whose knowledge of playing technique is limited to basic levels only (that includes the use of only basic gracenotes as well as B and C doublings). It's prime use is as an aid to teaching pipers in a structured method in conjunction with SGOIL NAM PIOBAIRE'S 'Easy Method'. Note, that it is NOT INTENDED to replace existing elaborate settings - instead, it is seen as an aid to learning which will allow the student piper to develop his/her skills while at the same time being able to perform to a simple standard.
This book is presented in an e-book format on CD ROM which is designed to make it a cheap alternative as well as to give a back-up of music on sound files in both wave and BMW formats. This added feature allows the student to both hear and play along with the tune - another invaluable aid to practice.
BMW PLAYBACK This is superb training aid, allowing the student piper to flow the tune with its ‘bouncing blue dot’ to guide over the various beats and notes. However, it is not quite possible to put in ‘light and shade’, that undefinable touch of subtlety that makes a tune stand out.
Those little touches can be learned by listening to other pipers and finally developing your own style of playing - don’t be a clone, play your music your way, and from the heart.
WAVE FILES Wave files are also included to give the piper the opportunity to hear how the tunes are played at correct tempo.
